This past weekend marked my first excursion into the Washington wilderness. Ruby Beach is a part of the Olympic National Park system that covers most of the Olympic Peninsula. Here in Seattle we have the Puget Sound, Elliot Bay and Lake Washington as our primary bodies of water. They’re all very tranquil and relaxing. I wanted to see the Pacific Ocean and hopefully some king tides! As luck would have it, the tide was out most of the day but still some incredible wave crashes in the distance. This is the first of many trips to Washington’s mountains and coastline. What a beautiful state 😍 .
