Isla Mujeres.
Isla Mujeres (island of women) is a beautiful island about 40 minutes from Cancun by boat. The ferry that we rode on had a band playing which was nice. The smooth ride plus the gentle music was a treat. The ride could have been double the time and I would have been fine. Once on the island we rented a golf cart to drive around the island. I had entirely too much fun driving this tiny cart around the island, almost like a real-life game of Mario Kart. The island itself is beautiful. An old town center, plenty of nature and beautiful beaches. It was a bit too windy to go exploring in the water, so we stuck mostly to the coast. The highlights for me were the Garrafon Park (beautiful views) and Punta Sur with its stunning cliffs. Due to the windy weather the water was splashing dozens of feet in the air which was awesome.

Looks awesome. The sea turtles! You’ve traveled to a lot of Spanish speaking destinations. Posting comment, and following. 🙂

I have to admit, I’m in love with Spanish / Hispanic culture.
